Scout shows prominent qualities. At the Lower Mainland (Abbottsford, B.C.) show in October 1998, Scout finished his Canadian Championship before reaching eighteen months. He Scout, a flat-coated retrieverthen started showing in the US, and finished his American Championship at the Yakima Kennel Club show in May 1999, after winning four owner-handled 4-point majors.

In the year 2000, Scout appeared in shows only two weekends. One of those weekends, he won a Group 3 placement in the July 2000 B.C. Sporting Dog Show from an entry of 11 flat-coated retrievers, including 7 specials and a large entry of other Sporting Group dogs.

Scout has a noble head with a proud expression, beautiful and level top-line, a good front and rear with sound body structure, excellent gait, and a sweet, happy, temperament. Scout is an all-around merit dog.
