PIAA Fog Light Installation
I've never been happy with the light output of either the headlights or the fog lights on my truck. My plan is to eventually install a set of 1999 Ram Sport headlights, new fog lights, plus a set of PIAA 510 driving lights. The fog lights will be the easiest so I started with them.
The PIAA mounts, PIAA part number 30195 are designed to mount their lights on a truck that didnt come with factory fog lights. They come with instructions and templates for cutting the light hole in the bumper and a heavy angle bracket mount.

To remove the stock lights you just undo two nuts on the top of each light assembly. The stock fog lights then come out complete with their mounts. I just cut the factory plug off the trucks harness and soldered on the PIAA plugs I had cut from the harness that came with the lights. The stock system is already relay controlled so I didnt bother using the complete PIAA harness.
The PIAA mounts bolt to an existing hole in the Rams bumper so no drilling is required. The whole process was very easy and only required about an hour of my time from start to finish.

The next step will be the installation of another set of PIAA 510's, these in a driving pattern. Should be done soon!
I purchased the lights on-line from Sports Car Accessories at http://sportscar-parts.com/ . Great service and good prices. The mounts I purchased a while back from my local 4 Wheel Parts store but I'm pretty sure Sports Car Accessories has them too.
