WHAT'S AT GAVRELLE NOW
This isn't meant to be a tourists guide to the area, just after reading the article you may want to know what is there now, how does it look. My mate Trevor is the expert on the area and hopefully will be invited to write an edition of the Battle ground Europe series on this area, as Arras and the area around Arras has been sorely neglected but this is my pictures of the area giving positions from where the photos were taken, marked on the map now, and then. The then map is cluttered as it was a rather active area but basically the roads etc were built in the same places and it is relatively easy to plot what was there.
