This shot is from the second path that runs from the Anchonvillers-hamel road. In the background is the trees of the Newfoundland park,and to the extreme left an area known as knightsbridge where the artillery was massed in preparation for the Ancre attack. We are looking from a position roughly in the British front line, and looking along the length of it. The German lines are to the right.
