A little up the path, we are behind the German lines about 2nd /3rd line, we are looking down on station road and off to the right the v cut in the bank is where the trench station alley cut into the road. A trench ran along the top of the road giving good field of fire. The view you have now is the view that the Royal Marines going on from the 2nd German line would have had.
