KYLES WORLD WAR ONE HOMEPAGE
Welcome! I have an interest in WW1 as I believe it touched everyones lives and in many ways still does. I hope you will find something of interest, if not submit something, or let me know what you want to see.
My aim is to rotate articles or some at least, hopefully spread the interest,
there will be a slight RM/Kent influence as that is my specialist area, but
I can con mates to help me on this front.
Visit regularly, leave your E.Mail address so I can notify you of updates
and generally converse with people of similar ideas and interests
NB. Some friends will be writing on this site, their views are not necessarily my views but I'm prepared to let them express points of view that may be controversial, my stipulation is that they back up with evidence any claims, and that they do not personally insult anybody.
NEWS FROM THE MAN OF KENT
Dear Friends,
I join you after completing a second Man of Kent Tour of this year. As you
can see from the photo to the left that there are many hazards to beware
of on the modern western front, Man of Kent here is seen next to one!!!,
I didn't have my camera ready for the repeated signs in Mailly Maillett that
advertise "Pile Wonder". Whats happening, well there seems to be many bodies
found this year, last week someone staying in the same place as us found
a British Soldier and a few Canadians have been found at Courcellette, We
explored Arras more and found many hidden treasures on that battlefield that
are always overlooked. Believe me , do your homework and you will see the
real site of the Western Front. As regards to the future of the site, it
will stay up and I will add what and when I can as time will allow. The reason
for this malaise is that apart from my 60 hours a week at the hospital plus
young family, my mate Trev and me are co writing a Battle ground Europe Guide
to Gavrelle which has a tight schedule, so nose to the grindstone!!!!.
