Encyclopedia of Intelligence and Secret Services

First the bad news: This new handbook is in French. If you cannot read French, don't read on. Once again: there is NO ENGLISH edition!

Now the good news. The new second edition, published in 2003, has been considerably enlarged and now has 770 pages! This is the most up-to-date international handbook on the current methods, techniques, and organization of secret services all over the world. On page 44 it even notes the new Kommando Strategische Aufklärung created on 17 JAN 2002! The GCHQ (see the FAS screenshot above) alone covers 6 pages! The author is a noted expert from the Swiss military. Economic intelligence, information war, industrial spying, and global radio monitoring are only a few out of hundreds of interesting entries in alphabetical order. Includes a comprehensive bibliography and Internet addresses, plus dozens of diagrams and graphics, with many fantastic maps showing the location of top secret radio monitoring stations worldwide!
