Robert Learmonth, Boatman, was mentioned in the Flett Papers in the Archives in Kirkwall as being one of over 100 tenants named as owing rent to Cecelia Steurt (total £150) for North and South Pabdaill and St Katherines Quoy. The Extract Decreet was brought by Hugh Mouat, Merchant in Kirkwall.

In the Lady Kirk Session Minutes can be found the following.
28th October 1744
Debated that Robert Lermon and Christian Muir his spouse, guilty of antinuptual fornication appoints the officer to summoned them against the next day of session.
No date against next entry.
The officer being enquired if he had summoned Robert Lermon and Christian Muir, guilty of antinuptial fornication assured he had, they being called compeared, and being advised of their guilt judicially acknowledged the same, being rebuked were appointed to enter the church discipline next Lords day.
4th November 1744
Robert Lermon and Christian Muir, guilty of antinuptial fornication appeared in the place of public repentance, were rebuked, exhorted and absolved.
Note They apparently got off lightly as most other couples had to appear in the place of public repentance and were rebuked, having to appear every week until such time as the session decided they had repented enough. Only then were they absolved.
Perhaps Robert and Christian got off lightly because they married.
