Information taken from various census seems to indicate that although Jane Learmonth was married to James Wilson, approx 19 years her senior, Jane's daughter was named Jane Heddle. Information taken from her death records states that her 'reputed father' was James Heddle.
James Wilson was a miller at Isegarth and Jane Heddle married George Learmonth staying at Little Over The Water, which is next door.
