Restaurants
This section lists places I have heard of or visited. Please verify that places are still tranny friendly before visiting, and ensure you are appropriately dressed for the venue. This list is a guide of places and should be treated as such. If anyone has reports on other friendly places, please email me with details. Thanks..
Leeds, Bradford & Wakefield Areas of West Yorkshire
I have had no reports of any TV/TS friendly/welcoming Restaurants in or around West Yorkshire!
Come on all you owners/managers, let me know where you are and that you welcome TG people..
Other Locations Around the UK
D'Vincis is Italian cuisine and they do cook one of my favorite dishes (even if it isn't Italian!) - a nice steak with pepper sauce. The owners run the place themselves and each special girl is treated like a right lady.(Look for my photo at the bar - no prizes are given)..
Pinochios Restaurant is only a few minutes walk from the Creffield Hotel. It is situated almost in the town centre and so gets quite busy. Since Bournemouth is similar to Blackpool (tranny friendly with care), the well dressed TV/TS is welcomed. Each time I have been, even the other customers have been welcoming - and they were mostly tourists themselves!
Autumn Leaves is situated in the heart of Blackpool within walking distance of the Winter Gardens, Grand Theatre and North Pier. This restaurant is very popular with TVs and TSs and virtually every night you will find someone 'dressed' and eating there. Some of the pictures in my gallery were taken at Autumn Leaves.
(Report by Nicola).. The evening restaurant is upstairs which is always slightly daunting, well I cannot recommend the place highly enough. The decor is soothing, the food very good (slightly expensive at £12/13 for a main course) but excellent quality, well cooked and presented. Being by myself I was somewhat apprehensive but no worries, the staff were charming, the lady behind the bar, my waiter and eventually the proprietor who when he brought my camel coat at the end, asked if it was one hump or two !! I would certainly recomend it to anyone, but it is slightly upmarket, dress and manners should reflect that. Drinking Budweiser out of a bottle would be frowned upon ! and in my view quite right too !!! As an added bounus I had a gaggle of seven ladies out on the town at the next table which made for interesting listening !!
(Report confirmation by Kay).. I made my first visit in November 2000. A Brilliant evening/night was had and the food was 150%!.. Both Julie and Frank are extremely nice people and are very welcoming to those who wish to have a great evening meal. All the comments by Nicola are very accurate. I'll certainly be going back!
