DIVESTITURE OF STATE-OWNED ENTERPRISES

Bolgatanga Catering Rest House

The Divestiture Implementation Committee (DIC), acting on behalf of the Government of Ghana has appointed Kwame Asante & Associates (Representatives of Arthur Anderson in Ghana), as consultants to provide advice in connection with, and ultimately to implement the divestiture of the assets of the Bolgatanga Catering Rest House.

Accordingly, the consultants now invite offers from the general public for the acquisition of the assets of the enterprise.

Enterprise Profile

The divestiture of the assets of the Bolgatanga Catering Rest House represents a unique opportunity to acquire one of the most well placed institutions of its kind in the sub-region. It has a vast expanse of land and a complex of physical facilities.

The potential for the profitable development of the Rest House is enormous.

Bid Information & Requirements

Interested investors should apply for the "Information Memorandum & Sale Details" and other "Bid Documents" which contain detailed bid procedures and information on the enterprise. These will be provided upon payment of the appropriate fee.

The investor(s) sought will have the management and financial capabilities to:

  • · bring the vast structures of the enterprise back into full use;
  • · improve the provision of catering and tourism services to the local/ sub-regional markets; and
  • · generally stimulate economic development by providing employment, the development of skills in the catering/ tourism sector, etc.

Completed bids must be delivered on or before 5:00pm on Friday, April 17, 1998.
