1. Apply silane to internal portions of the restoration(s), dry with air, prior to placement in oral cavity.
2. Remove temporary restoration if any and thoroughly clean (pumice & prophy cup) the tooth (teeth) to be restored. Never leave any eugenol containing cements on the tooth surface. Dry the tooth lightly.
3. Place a thin layer of the selected shade of water soluble try-in paste either into the intra-coronal preparation or directly on the restoration. Place restoration into (inlays, onlays or crowns) or on the prepared area (veneers). Using light pressure, seat well. Remove excess try-in paste.
4. Evaluate fit and make necessary adjustments. remove restoration(s). Wash out the water-soluble paste with plenty of water both from the restorations and the preparations.
5. Re-silanate the restorations internally and dry. Place in a convenient place to await the bonding procedure.
1. After cleaning and drying the preparations, place KERR Gel Etchant (37.5% phosphoric acid)* first on the enamel then on the dentin (if any). leave for no more than 15 seconds on the dentin and not more than 30 seconds on the enamel. Wash off for not less than 15 seconds. Dry very gently. Do not dessicate the tooth surface.
2. Using a new KERR applicator at each step, apply NEXUS 1** to the tooth and lightly air dry. Apply NEXUS 2 and air thin. Apply NEXUS 3 and air thin. DO NOT LIGHT CURE.
3. Select the appropriate shade of luting resin (light cure is generally sufficient for veneers) and thinly coat the internal parts of the veneer(s). Caution: do not use the catalyst paste instead of shaded pastes.
4. Place the veneer gently on the tooth allowing the resin to slowly ooze from all margins.
5. When you are satisfied that the veneer is properly seated, remove the excess resin with a plastic instrument (do not use a brush, which can pull out some resin at the margin and leave a void). Now place pressure on the restoration with your finger or an appropriate instrument. If there is more excess resin, like a bead at the margin, leave it and light cure all surfaces for 40 seconds per surface minimum. NOTE: For thicker veneers you might consider longer curing time or even using a dual cure resin. (See inlay placement instructions)
6. Remove excess hardened luting agent using 30 fluted (Beavers) burs being careful not to roughen the restoration.
7. Polish with disks, rubber wheels, diamond polishing pastes and aluminum oxide polishing pastes for the final luster.
NOTE: Isolation of the prepared teeth as well as packing the gingiva when the margin is sub-gingival is absolutely necessary for uncontaminated resin cementation procedures. You must remember to remove all gingival packing after the restorations have been luted and finished.
Note: KERR disposable mixing wells and applicator tips are designed for single-use only. Do not reuse these products on multiple cases.
1. After cleaning, isolating and drying the preparations, place the KERR Gel Etchant (37.5% phosphoric acid)* first on the enamel then on the dentin (if any). Leave for no more than 15 seconds on dentin and not more than 30 seconds on enamel. Wash off for not less tnhan 15 seconds.
3. Select the proper shade of luting resin. Select the desired viscosity of the catalyst paste (high or low). Dispense equal amounts of each on a mixing pad. using the disposable mixing stick thoroughly mix the two parts together (10-20 seconds is sufficient). Place the resin mixture into the cavity prep covering all surfaces.
4. Place the inlay or onlay into the tooth allowing the resin to ooze from all margins.
5. When you are satisfied that the restoration is in the final position, remove the excess resin with a plastic instrument (do not use a brush, which can pull out some resin from the margin and leave a void). Now place pressure on the restoration with your finger or an approriate instrument. If there is more excess resin, leave it there at this point (except at the gingival seat and any other inaccessible margins where all resin should be removed first!) and light cure for a minimum 40 seconds per surface.
6. Remove excess hardened luting agent using 30 fluted (Beavers) finishing burs being careful not to roughen the restoration.
7. Polish with disks, cups, points, diamond polishing pastes and aluminum oxide polishing pastes for the final luster.
NOTE: Isolation of the prepred teeth as well as packing the gingiva when the margin is sub-gingival is absolutely necessary for uncontaminated resin cementation procedures. You must remember to remove all gingival packing after the restorations have been luted and finished.

4. Place the crown(s) gently into the tooth allowiing the resin to ooze from all margins.
5. When you are satisfied that the restoration is in the final position, remove the excess resin with a plastic instrument (do not use a brush, which can pull out some of the margin and leave a void). Embrasures should be as clear of excess resin as possible. Now place pressure on the restoration with your finger or an appropriate instrument. If there is more resin excess resin like a bead at the margin, leave it (except at gingival seat where all resin should be removed first) and light cure all surfaces for 40 seconds per surface minimum.
6. Remove excess hardened luting agent using 30bladed (Beavers) burs being careful not to roughen the restoration.
7. Polish with disks, cups, points, diamond polishing pastes and aluminum oxide polishing pastes for the final luster.
NOTE: The internal surface of PFM,s can be of several types. The general procedure for the preparation of the restorations for resin bonding is:
a) Sandblast the surfaces of all metal crowns, no matter the type of metal. this is usually sufficient on a mechanical level for bonding.
b) Tin plating improves the chemical adhesion of all metal crowns, particularly precious metal. However, tin plating sometimes causes discoloration of the entire tooth structure being covered.
c) Place NEXUS 1** on the inside of the crown, in a thin even layer, lightly air thinning if necessary. You are now ready to proceed.
