| About |
| Hello! And thanks for taking some time to browse through my web site. If you want to find out more about me, get in touch or just find out what I like you'll find it below. If you're not interested, that's ok too. |
Read my "disclaimer" too.
| I have qualifications from the BTBA (Phase III, Lincoln England, 1997), USA Bowling (Silver Level, Las Vegas Nevada, June 2000) and Dick Ritger (Level II, Dublin Ireland, October 2000). I was first asked to assist with the Northern Ireland squads in 1997 and served as coach since February 1998. While I think formal certification is important (especially to ensure higher standards of Junior Development and Olympic recognition) it's equally important for anyone receiving coaching to understand that a piece of paper does not make someone a good "coach" and that there are many great coaches who have no formal certification. | View copies of my certificates or find out more about
coaching in general, including

| I'm a "Systems Analyst". I work with an diverse team of people on projects to continually improve our work practises. My degree is in Applied Mathematics and I now develop software. I've learned two things at work that help me, firstly Change is good (if you stand still you'll be overtaken!) and Simplicity is wonderful. Troubleshooting complex systems is a challenge, but designing systems with an elegant simplicity for those problems is even more satisfying. | |||
| Send me a message at GetACoach@Yahoo.Com. I like to hear from other bowlers, feel free to ask me anything. | |||
| I like listening to music (at home, in the car and at concerts). All kinds of music. I like travelling, seeing and learning new things. On TV I would watch Discovery Channel types of programs, but we're already getting on to the next subject. | |||
| My personality temperment is INTP: I'm quiet, think a lot and enjoy trying to understand things. Many people think I'm strange and I used to think so, too: now I realise that I'm just me. INTP's apparently only make up 1% of the population, so we don't meet each other very often. The bottom line is that people are different. I'm different. Everyone's different. I accept that, respect your differences and get on with my life. I learn from good things I see in life as well as the bad things (how not to). Quality: you can't describe it but you know when you see it. Design. Simplicity. KISS. Zen and the art of, well, everything really. The journey never stops. Yeh? Just because it's written down doesn't mean it's true, be open to new ideas (the ones that "break the rules"). I like learning, understanding things and challenges. Respect. | |||
