Here's a list of medals won by Northern Ireland bowlers at International level. As and when I get hold of records from the earlier years I'll update this list so, if you know of anyone I've missed please don't take it as a slight, but get in touch and I'll give them the recognition they deserve. British Nationals, Enfield (March 15th, 16th)
Kev Horton places 6th overall in a squad 370 men at the UK Nationals.
Senior Triple Crown, Dundonald (April 8th,9th)
Moira Dundas rolls a super 596 series to take Gold in the Ladies Singles and also takes Bronze in the Doubles with partner Renne Marsden. In the Trios it's a 1-2 sweep with Pat Duffy, Mary Brady and Moira Dundas taking Gold and Renne Marsden, Jean Martin and Glynis Wilson winning Silver: in the trios Pat scored a fantastic 717 series. Continuing the form the ladies team (Pat, Moira, Renne, Mary and Glynis Wilson) win Bronze in the Fives event. Pat Duffy was 2nd overall with a 196.7 average for the event and won the Round-Robin Masters event. Those performances were sufficient to take the overal event Gold medal for the Northern Ireland Team (263.5 points) ahead of the Republic of Ireland (237.5)and England (219.5). In the Mens section Allen Martin won Bronze in the Singles.
Triple Crown, Leeds (August 12th, 13th)
Picture of Billy Nimick, Triple Crown Tenpin Bowling Overall Champion, August 2000Robert Walkingshaw and Billy Nimick win Bronze in the Men's Doubles and Billy Nimick makes the Top-10 in 3rd place. Billy then went on to give an exhibition in power bowling as he averages 243 in matchplay to go head to head with his only rival, Steve Thornton (England), in the final match of the tournament. To the delight of the crowd Billy ended the tournament with a memorable 300 perfect game - the only one of the weekend - and secured the Gold Medal in the Men's Overall events.

British Nationals, Plymouth (March 27,28)
Mens Team (G.Craig, K.Horton, P.McCauley, B.Nimick, M.Payne) set new NI team record and take 2nd place from 41 teams. Billy Nimick makes the cut for the final "Masters" and works his way up to 12th position overall (in a field of 215 men).
Senior Triple Crown, Leeds (April 10,11)
Pat Duffy and Mary Brady with Gold in the Ladies Doubles. Don McCamphill, Andy McLaren and Len Wrightson win Gold in the Mens Trios. Andy McLaren wins Silver in the Mens Singles and the men win Bronze in the Fives.
Triple Crown, Dublin (August 7th,8th)
After last years first ever NI Gold the men bring home more medals than ever before with Silver in the Men's Doubles (K.Horton, P.McCauley), Bronze in the Men's Trios (K.Horton, P.McCauley, M.Payne), Silver in the Men's Fives (B.Nimick, G.Craig, M.Payne, P.McCauley, K.Horton, A.Smith) and Bronze in the Overall Individual masters (K.Horton).
Junior Triple Crown, Stirling (August 28th,29th)
The fives (Murphy, McMonagle, Murphy, Press, Walkingshaw) team win Bronze and narrowly miss out in the Trios, but round off the event with a superb Gold Medal for Robert Walkingshaw in the overall Masters. Many of these bowlers will be kicking hard at the heels of their seniors for places on the adult team this year! Robert has already won a place on that team and Andrew Beatty almost won this year's AMF World Cup qualifier.

Silver medal in the team (C.Haveron, U.Irvine, C.McMonagle, B.Nimick, R.Walkingshaw).
Senior Triple Crown, Dublin ()
Andy McLaren scores a perfect "300" game and takes Gold in the Mens overall.
Triple Crown, Dundonald (August 7,8,9)
Gary Craig and Martin Payne win Gold in the Mens Doubles. Gary went on to win Silver in the Mens "masters".
Norther Ireland Open, Ballymena (October)
Kev Horton wins the event.
Scottish Open
Paul McCauley finishes tenth, highest ever placing by NI bowler.

Junior Triple Crown, Derry
Triple Crown, Coatbridge (August)
NI Mens team (K.Donnelly, K.Horton, P.McCauley, B.Nimick, A.Smith, L.Wrightson) win the Bronze medal inthe Fives and Bronze overall.
Senior Triple Crown, Jersey
Pat Duffy and Mary Brady win Gold in the Doubles. Christy McMonagle (Sr.) also finishes in the medals.
Junior Irish Open, Dublin (November)
Dee Healy wins Gold in the Under-14 division.
