Kawasaki |
For those affected by Kawasaki Syndrome (Kawasaki Disease), we hope to accomplish a few modest goals:
To share information on research. This link contains the program of the 1999 Sixth International Symposium on Kawasaki Disease; abstracts are being posted as time permits.
To share information and support through occasional mailings. Time hasn't permitted us to continue with a regular newsletter but the mailing list is being maintained to keep families informed as often as possible. You may view text of back newsletters through this link. Also, those with e-mail accounts may consider joining our Listserv e-mailing list (see link below).
To provide links to medical literature. For those outside the medical profession (that would be most of us in the network!), a medical dictionary would be a wise investment. There is help online in English and several European languages at the "List and Glossary of Medical Terms."
A parents' guide appears in Spanish at: http://www-pediatrics.ucsd.edu/research/disease/kdespanol.html The same document appears in English at: http://www-pediatrics.ucsd.edu/research/disease/kd_pargd.htm

We welcome your suggestions, too. Please notify us by e-mail if you have any questions or ideas, or if you would like to add your name to our mailing list (and leave your mailing address in the message).
Send comments to: kawasaki@compuserve.com We'd love to hear from you. Let us know if it is OK to list you on our "Families" page.
