GREAT DEAL of the material on Claudel has been written or compiled by her relative Reine-Marie Paris, and while excellent in many respects, it sometimes romanticizes the sculptor unnecessarily.
   Frederic V. Grunfeld’s biography of Rodin is a trove of valuable information on Claudel; no one writing about her (or any of Rodin’s other female students) should fail to consult it.
