I've developed a series of seabed landers capable of measuring current velocities very near the seabed, wave height and tidal elevations from a pressure sensor and optical and acoustic methods of estimating the suspended load concentration. These landers, or Minipods are capable of recording all the sensors for periods upto 2 months.
