PsiGar Version 2.9
PsiGar is what you need if you own a Psion Series3a /3c and a Garmin GPS
receiver. The program has specifically been tested with a GPS45 model but
seems to work with most Garmin models.
The program allows you to transfer Almanac information, Routes,
Track Logs and Waypoints between then Psion and the GPS unit. You can also
set the Psion's internal clock from the GPS.
In addition you can convert the Waypoint files, Routes and Track
Logs to a type which can be edited using the Psion's built in "Data" program.
These edited files can then be converted back to Garmin type files and
sent to the GPS receiver.
The GPS file transfers routines have been rewritten offering up
to a 50% increase in speed.
The PCX5 transfer routines have been improved.
Psiway is an addon module supplied with PsiGar which allows you to manipulate
waypoints more easily.
At it's simplest level you can use the Psion as an external keyboard
for the GPS.
Psiway supports direct editing of waypoint files without first
converting them to database files.
Psiway also supports entering waypoints using OSGB Grid references
and also allows the viewing of existing waypoints as OSGB Grid references.
The module is still not fully debugged but the problems can't be
to severe judging by the level of feedback from users. (The problems arise
if you try to use OSGB grid references outside the applicable area.)

Third Party extras for PsiGar
The following software is released as is. Neither I or the authors accept
any responsibility for any consequences arising out of the use of this
software. These programs were written for the authors own benefit and have
been given to me so that they could be made available to other PsiGar users
for free. Note there is no documentation for these programs but the use
is fairly obvious if you remember to use them with the correct type of
data files. Install the programs into any .opo directory.
PsiSpeed

This program takes a track ".tbf" file and displays the speed between
each of the track log points.

PsiTrk
Written by Floyd Doughty.
This program takes a track ".trk" file and allows the manipulation
of the track records, giving several statistics and the ability to merge
nearby points to produce a simpler track log. Note on a large track log
this can be very very slow!
