MAC'S HOMEPAGE

MacIntyre Juno-McClare

12 February 1985 - 9 July 2001

I am very sad to report that Mac passed peacefully out of this world on Monday evening, 9 July 2001. During the weekend before his death, Mac suddenly became unwilling to eat, lost some bladder control, and was clearly feeling terrible. On Monday morning, an ultrasound revealed that he had a mass in his bladder and nodes on this liver...none of which had been present on an ultrasound test done about two months earlier. It was obvious that he had an aggressive cancer. As painful as my decision was to end his life, it was important for Mac to die with the same dignity with which he lived. He died quietly in my arms, with the help of our wonderful Veterinary Internist, Dr. Derek Burney. I couldn't have asked for more compassionate veterinary care at the end...for us both.

Mac was 16 years and almost 5 months old when he died. He was a dignified gentleman to the end.

I feel sure that Mac would like his homepage to remain on the web, so I'm not going to change a thing. With the exception of splitting his page into two pieces for easier loading, what follows will remain just as it was before he died. These pages will honor the memory of a funny, charming, intelligent, slightly crazy, and very loving little fellow...who is being missed terribly by so many of us.

MAC'S VERY OWN HOMEPAGE!

Hey, there...I'm Mac, I turned 16 years old on the 12th of February 2001, and I live in Houston. You can see that I've been VERY busy helping my Janet update my homepage!

And I was also very busy last Christmas, as I've always loved opening my own presents! My Janet has to stop me from opening other people's presents as well! I can't help it...I'm just SO curious to see what's inside!

Wow...what was THAT? One of those HUGE Texas cockroaches for me to chase? What FUN!!

Here I am with my Janet...on my balcony. I LOVE being out there, 'cause I can watch for PERIL and keep an eye on all our neighbors!

Actually, though, it's a lot better to be out of my Janet's lap while on my balcony...'cause then I can pace back and forth and watch really REALLY closely for PERIL outside!

I enjoy watching the neighbors from the apartment window, too...and I certainly let them know if they are doing something unacceptable!
