When our two families joined in 1968, neither of us knew much about our ancestors. In 1996 we discovered some Sackis/McMonigal family papers that led us to Iowa to search for the McMonigal roots. The rest, as they say, is history! Our search has expanded to include both sides of our family. Since we began we have traveled to Greece, Iowa, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, & California and spent time in courthouses, historical societies, libraries, a National Archives office, museums, and an LDS Family Center. We have purchased software, CD-ROMs, books, maps, and photocopies of many old documents. To say we're hooked on this is an understatement!
