2001 Accomplishments Child Passenger Safety Numerous seats were distributed to financially challenged families with appropriate counseling and installation. Bike Safety Hundreds of bike helmets were given away by the Coalition through bike rodeo events and other safety events. Fire Safety Several families were assisted by either winning a smoke detector through an event, or as happened in many situations, the Fire Safety Committee installed these in high risk areas. Additionally thousands of children enjoyed the learning experience of touring the SAFE KIDS Fire Safety House. |

CHILDREN'S TRUST FUND LICENSE PLATE You can help prevent child abuse by ordering a colorful Children's Trust Fund personalized plate for your motor vehicle. These official Missouri state plates feature the distinctive child's hands print logo, and a "Prevent Child Abuse" message. All elements of the plate appear in an array of primary colors on a reflective white background. The SAFE KIDS of Central Missouri latest effort involves becoming a partner with the Children's Trust Fund (CTF) to market and sell the CTF license plates. Each plate sold by the Coalition raises $25.00 for our organization to help support the annual events and activities scheduled in Jefferson City and the surrounding communities. Once the Coalition has sold 100 plates, we will receive $2,500 from the trust fund. For each plate sold beyond the required 100 plates, the Coalition will receive an additional $25.00 per plate.
