Barlow Moor

Barlow Moor is in South Manchester, stretching from Didsbury to Chorlton. It is a varied area, including large Council estates, areas with a high student population and areas of private housing. A Liberal Democrat Councillor was first elected in 1987.

Simon Wheale

Simon Wheale has been a member of the City Council since 1992. He served as Chair of the City Party from 1991 to 1995, during which time, the number of Liberal Democrat held Ward in Manchester doubled. Simon is currently Housing and Education Spokesperson for the Liberal Democrat Group in Manchester. Simon stood in the General Election in 1997 and 1992 for Manchester Blackley.
