Changes made in September 1999:
- User now has option to use menu in frame on top or on the left, or work
frameless
- Menu frames are now dynamic to make navigating the species lists and links
lists easier
- Updated color scheme of tables
- Updated general layout of specific page sections (headers, menus and links
to previous or related pages).
- Removed JavaScript indication of modification date and replaced it with
fixed text, since not all servers and browsers return modification date
correctly.

- Added English text of the "Working with
dolphins" paper
- Updated taxonomic data for several pinniped species to include changed
species status, according to Dale Rice's Marine Mammals of the World
(Society for Marine Mammalogy, 1998)
- Reduced size of species list pages by creating subpages, to reduce loading
time.
- Compacted some online papers to make navigating them easier
- Changed mailto references back to jaap@compuserve.com (since
CompuServe will fade out the csi domain in two years)
- Added list of recommended links to Marine Mammal Links page and order links
alphabetically to prevent arbitrary classification of linked sites.
- Updated ASR calculation for Särkänniemi dolphins in Survival rate
paper to include all data up to September 27th, 1999
- Updated marine mammal news page
- Combined EAAM Newsletter articles into one updated online paper on
Cetacean releases
- Removed puffins photo feature and reduced other features to make room for
information
- Added Survival rate toolkit (a set of tools for survival rate related
calculations) to the Survival rate paper.

Changes made on October 24, 1998:
- Added 3 full papers online:
- Moved the survival rate paper to its own directory and divided it up in
smaller pieces. Included navigation bar and list similar to the three new
papers.
- Condensed the Iceland photo features somewhat to make room for new
additions.
- Added Australian sea lion photo feature
Changes made on September 9, 1998:
- Made separate directories for images, features,artwork, etc.
- Converted most .GIF images to more compressed .JPG images to save disk
space.
- Brought back some earlier photo features, since enough space is now
available.

Changes made on September 21, 1997:
- Modified Java Script that displays modification date to hide display if the
year is 70 since that indicates the browser uses a cached copy of the pages
which has no modification date set.
Changes made on September 18, 1997:
- Added possibility to disable frames on main page because in some
resolutions the index frame is not completely visible, which makes it hard to
escape from the frames, if desired.

or the index frame, since some linked pages did not display well in frames
