Introduction

StlTools is an ADS application
for AutoCAD that:
- allow alternative to AME, ACIS and
AutoSurf way of creation of solids inside AutoCAD, including Extrusion,
Rotation, Spiral, Helix, Screw, Cable, Mesh and by that allows to create
free form solids that CSG representation or limited AutoCAD functions are
not capable to do;
- supports input/output of STL (Stereolithographics)
files used in Rapid Prototyping technology into/from AutoCAD;
- allow making Boolean operations between
created solids(union, subtraction, intersection), creation of holes and
contouring them. Also you can apply editing of your solids using standard
AutoCAD commands like move, copy, scale, stretch and etc. The resultant
solid can be converted back to STL representation by implementing STLWRITE
command of StlTools.
