Glyn-Coch has been selling crafts for about 21 years, however it was taken over by completely new management in May 2000. If you have been before you will find many of the attractive features you saw last time, however we hope to introduce new features. Of particular interest at the moment is the developing flora and fauna on the woodland walk. It was a sea of wild flowers last summer with swarms of butterflies.Whatever your interest we look forward to welcoming you in the near future.
The new management of Glyn-Coch consists of Huw and Thelma Jones and their daughter Sian, who is at University, and sons James and Owain who are both still at school. Huw's family are from South Wales, but he was working at Rothamsted Agricultural Experimental Station in Hertfordshire when he met Thelma, who was born in Surrey, and is the Crafty member of the family. Thelma paints glass, silk and china, and makes greetings cards. In Hertfordshire she ran a craft stall at local markets as a hobby, and professionally taught adults with special needs basic numeracy and literacy, and computing. With the craft shop, tea room, 27 acres, sheep, geese, and chickens, not to mention 8000 young trees which need weeding, and no employed staff, we have plenty to do. However it will all be worth it if you come and share this beautiful country side, and enjoy your time with us!
We are open all year. Click here for details.
