        Special Stuff....

        Our Site Awards

Yep, we've impressed some people, and here are the awards to prove it!

        Genetics for Cat Breeders

OK, so it's not Watson and Crick. It is, however, my attempt to help other breeders understand color genetics and inheritance. The better to guess those kitten colors, my dear (smile).

Frequently Asked Questions, about cats, in general

For several years, I gave advice to new and not so new cat owners as a Section Leader in the PETS Forum on CompuServe®. Here are some of the articles that I and Doug wrote for the members there, to help them cope with some of the more common dilemas that face most cat owners.

        Mostly Cat Links...

        My Other Half
Speaking of Doug, this link will let you visit his homepage. He has some wicked cool links on his page (including one to his shareware).

        Cat Fanciers Association HomePage (CFA)
All it needs is Herman's voice to tell you your Grand points.

The International Cat Association HomePage (TICA)
I believe that number 2 tries harder, and sometimes can be much more fun...

        The Cat Fanciers List HomePage
Not affiliated with CFA, this is a group of serious breeders, that meet here to exchange ideas and information, including:
The Fanciers Breeder Referral Service, hosted by Barb French. A wonderfully comprehensive listing of breeders all over the country and around the world. Over 300 breeders are listed, and 45 breeds represented. There's always something new happening here. One of the latest additions is the Retired Friends and Special Needs Friends placement service.

        /OFF Home Page
Join a cat club of the ninety's! Online Feline Fanciers is (interestingly enough) the CFA's first online club. We have access though the Web and on Compuserve (GO CATS) (and Doug and I are charter members).

        The Cat Forum on Compuserve
Enjoy talking about your cat? Do your friends' eyes glaze over when you tell them yet another oh-so-cute story about Fluffy? Are you looking for advice about your cat's behavior or getting a pedigreed cat? Then this is the place for you. Just GO CATS!

Compuserve's Pets Community on the Internet
Don't have the Compuserve proprietary software? You can still 'GO CATS' through the INTERNET!

        Bret's Page
Meet one of my Birman's relatives, actually a cousin of Lacey's, who has a very healthy self esteem, and a marvelous sense of humor.

Savage Studios - Felines Are Us!
An interesting page of Internet cat resources. You'll find links to other cat sites, personal and breeder, links to cat products and links to FAQs of all kinds. Great index to start from, if you need information.

        The Cat Page
A tribute to one woman's love of her cats, and sharing that love with others. Especially nice is the Candlelight Service, where you can add your cat's name to those being prayed for, whether they have crossed the Rainbow Bridge, or are ill. The prayer itself will bring tears to your eyes, so go to this site, only if you have kleenex handy.

        Purrinlot Persians
There's a wealth of non-Persian cat information on this site. Included are articles about feline health concerns (ringworm, vaccinations, etc), and a VERY useful list of phone numbers that almost every cattery owner needs to have (like CFA, TICA, and a BUNCH of catalogs).

        Winterhaven Exotic Shorthairs and Persians
See if your site fits any of the awards available from these folks! And while you're at it, you'll enjoy a very well designed and executed website and some wonderful cats (even if their noses are a *little* short).

        Other American Curl Breeders....

Karen is former CFA Breed Council Secretary, and mom to the first CFA Grand Premier American Curl. Her kitten, Celticul Sinead O'Curler, was 2nd Best LH Curl Kitten at the CFA International, 1996. Pictured is DGC Celticurl Killian's Red as a 4 month old kitten.

CH Dixipaws Jazzy Josey Phil & Ann Whatley, Dixipaws, Alabama
I met Ann and Phil through Compuserve, where we started talking about the breed we both love, American Curls. Phil and Ann live in a historic house in Madison, AL, soon to be a Bed & Breakfast. They have several curls, including the girl from my first curl litter, GC, CH Hunters Glen Fair Bianca of Dixipaws and a male from Adam's first litter, Hunters Glen Blazingstar of Dixipaws. Pictured is CH Dixipaws Jazzy Josey as a 3 month old kitten.
Mihit Io Patrice Patricia Speciale Krook, Mihit, Puyallup, Washington
Pat is the TICA Breed Committee Secretary and has been breeding Curls for over 10 years. She now lives in Washington state with an almost brand new hubby (Frej), several of her foundation cats, and 3 of Adam's offspring. Pictured is Mihit Io Partice, an 'Adam' son residing in Europe.
        Micki Gomez, Foxcroft, Topeka Kansas
I met Micki through a mutual friend of ours, Jeri Wallach. Micki has been breeding and showing cats for 13 years or so. She started with Somalis, but has always loved American Curls. She is the breeder of my Arwyn, and Smokey, and the lovely silver boy you see pictured here, Foxcroft's Star Trekker.
Kathy & David Barany, Americat, Upstate NY
Kathy and David got started breeding with the help and mentorship of Pat Krook. They live in NY state, and are the proud owners of CFA's 2nd Best American Curl Premier this year, Americat Ghiradelli Chocurlate.
        Connie Harvey, Medieval, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
Connie and I have known each other a long time, ever since I got my first curl from Deb Karasik. I'm very proud to say that I am helping Connie re-establish her curl program by providing her with some new foundation cats. To the left is one of them, Hunters Glen Lady Ariel of Medieval.
Caroline Scott & Mike Tucker, Procurl Harem, NYC NY
Caroline and Mike have bred CFA's most 'winning' American Curls. They specialize in longhairs, and have been in the breed since 1986. Caroline is the current CFA Breed Council Secretary.

Nifty Search Engines.... Free Graphics.... Cool Software...

        Yahoo! Connect to Yahoo! www.bellsnwhistles.com

A great site for all kinds of controls, rules and animations. Also a great place for hard to find HTML code, and scripts, copyright info and digital ragtime (smile).

Great Cat Graphics, Buttons, Bars and Backgrounds

        Beware of Cat!

        Graphics by Catstuff

        The Iconhood

An absolutely remarkable site for web graphics of all kinds. I spent hours here looking at everything, and downloading neat stuff. Chances are you've seen the animated stuff from this site on a lot of other sites, and wondered where they got those cool graphics. Now you know!

        Rita's Birmans

No, I'm not out of my mind...not only are there neat cats to look at, but she has some wonderful graphics which provide a complete page layout (buttons, text, background, etc). All she wants is a credit to her and a link...how can you lose?

        Sophie's Home Page

This youngster has to be one of the most creative minds on the Internet. She has some lovely graphics, and a host of interesting links. In fact, I bookmarked her page of graphic links, since it was so amazingly inclusive!

        Alchemy Mindworks

Creators of the very best, easiest to use, and most cost effective GIF animator you can download, GIF Construction Set 32. Many of the original graphics on this homepage were created using this software. There is a small registration fee, but it's well worth it!

        Webber

I downloaded Webber when I was looking for something better to edit HTML in besides Notepad. This packs a LOT of bang for the buck, especially now that it's freeware! Excellent HTML Tag help, great editting features, and several 'assistants' to help you plug graphics, tables, lists, and other things into your HTML code. The latest version, made for Windows 95 and NT is a little unstable on my system, but the enhancements are probably worth the hassle.
