Hovholmens Golden Flash (1981-1998) was a Danish-bred golden dun Connemara stallion standing 14.1hh. He was a top class dressage pony stallion, who competed successfully at FEI level in Europe. On importation to England in 1997? he was inspected by the BHS Dressage Group and awarded 140 dressage points. He competed successfully in affiliated dressage at Medium and Advanced Medium level.
His sire was the outstanding Danish Connemara stallion Oxenholm Godot who has approved sons in Germany, Australia and Denmark, plus many top class fillies and competition ponies throughout Scandinavia.
Flash was approved by the English and Danish Connemara societies and was awarded a Silver Medal at his grading in Denmark. He scored 8 for type and gained very favourable comments on his head and expression, limbs and paces.
Sadly Flash died in 1998, due to liver failure.
