HAPFO AP2000

This superb hand turning lathe from the famous German manufacturer HAPFO is of cast iron construction for vibration free turnng It has been designed for the keen turner working for pleasure and wanting the very best available. The AP2000ES model is available in single phase with a variable speed motor having a speed range of 340-4000 rpm making the lathe a real pleasure to use. The AP2000S is only available in 3ph and is ideal for handicraft work in schools,sheltered workshops and industrial workshops. The 3phase motor which is designed for continuous operation has 8 speeds from 375-4200rpm. The chisel rest on both models features a quick acting clamping lever so moving the rest is quick and precise. With l000mm between centres and a centre height of 200mm the lathe is big enough for most requirements. It has two more features which allow the owner to produce semi-professional work. The first is a copy device that can quickly be added to produce work enabling one to test the commercial world of wood turning without the expense of one of the bigger HAPFO machines. The second is a TWIST ATTACHMENT that has just become available to further increase the versatility of this lathe and in addition to twist work fluting can also be achieved. However it is important to realise that like all the lathes in this price bracket this is a hand turning lathe with a attachment available for copy work and the results will nowhere near match those of the HAPFO AP5000 range.
