Using a single light
Objective
For a corporate brochure. Illustrate the mechanical and design
departments working together.
- We wanted a "warm, friendly" light to illustrate the idea of
"working together." A bank light was selected and positioned very close.
- Background is black seamless.
Lighting
- #1 A single bank light, provided an f11 incident exposure on the
faces. Note that the white drafting paper reflects some fill light up into the faces.
Cool Trick!
There is often a tendency to "overlight" subjects.
If you can do the shot with one light, it is often more dramatic.
In this photograph, the table top provides all the fill light that is necessary.
The bank light was angled to take advantage of the tabletop.
