Greater City Aquarium Society (GCAS) is a primarily freshwater fish hobby club, meeting once a month in Queens, NY (except in January and February) at the Queens Botanical Garden. GCAS was founded in 1922. Meetings are free and open to the public.

Greater City Aquarium Society meets the 1st Wednesday of the month (except January and February)*

NOTE: We are back to meeting at the Queens Botanical Garden on the first Wednesday of every month (except January and February). Any changes of dates and/or locations will be mailed to paid-up GCAS members, and will be posted here on our website.

From Connecticut and points North:
   Take I-95 South to the Hutchinson Parkway South exit
   Merge onto Hutchinson River Parkway South
   The Hutchinson River Parkway goes into the Whitestone Bridge
   The Bronx Whitestone Bridge becomes the Whitestone Expressway
   Follow signs to the Van Wyck Expressway (stay to your left)
   Merge onto the Van Wyck Expressway
   Take the College Point Boulevard exit (12A)
   Take the first right (before the 1st light) onto Booth Memorial Ave.
   Continue to Main Street, and turn left onto Main.  
   Go four lights and turn left onto Dahlia Avenue, 
   Then turn left into the parking lot of the Garden

From New York City:
BUS
   Take the Q44 to the Garden's Main Street entrance; or

SUBWAY
   Take the IRT #7 subway or Long Island Railroad to Main Street 
      and walk south;

CAR
   Take the Long Island Expressway to Exit 23-Main Street and follow
      north for seven traffic lights. Make a left on Dahlia Avenue. 

     Or, take the Van Wyck Expressway to Exit 12A, College Point
       Boulevard, turn left onto College Point Blvd, take the first right
       (before the first light) onto Booth Memorial Avenue.  Continue to 
       Main Street, and turn left onto Main.  Go four lights and turn left 
       onto Dahlia Avenue, then left into the parking lot of the Garden.

Dues: $20/yr (March to December season); includes 10 issues (one a month) of our award winning publication "Modern Aquarium."

FREE: Admission, Parking, Refreshments! Monthly bowl show (except April and January). Noted speakers. Plant and fish auctions. Knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful members.

GCAS has no "Mail" or "corresponding" memberships. Modern Aquarium is only available at meetings (with back issues for members on an "as available" basis).
