The index below has been compiled from various sources including trade directories, census returns and photographs found. It does not claim to be an exhaustive list and readers are invited to submit details of any additional photographers to me for inclusion.
The dates refer to periods when the photographer was known to be offering services. In most cases, a photographer was probably in business outside these dates.
A photographer having a name in blue indicates a direct link to dedicated page giving a résumé of their trade history, photographic evidence found, mini-biography and, where possible, examples of their work. Further information on the other photographers may be found by following the alphabetic links below.
