ZAPP! is a refreshing, contemporary, and interesting fable written to bring to life the concepts of team building. The fable method makes difficult concepts easy to understand and visualize. The main character, manager Joe Mode, is transported into the 12th dimension where people emit light in direct proportion to their empowerment.
An office that is dark and dreary is symptomatic of a management style that saps peoples' energy, lowers their self-esteem, whereas a bright office is an indication that people are energized and full of self-esteem, i.e., empowered. Of course, brightly lit offices are more productive than dark, dreary dungeons because peoples' motivation and productivity increase with increased self-esteem and empowerment.
This book is the best and easiest to read discourse on team building that I have read.
