Click here to read the comments of 100 managers that use job matching to identify which of their qualified job appicants have the right "talents" for the job.

This book is for the harried manager who is too busy to do what needs to be done. The monkey in the book is a figure of speech for the next move after a problem is identified. Too many managers when faced with a problem from others will automatically assume the responsibility to fix the problem.

The book helps to visualize the next move to be made as a monkey on the other person's shoulder. Once you assume a problem the monkey jumps to your shoulder where you must care and feed the damn thing.

Managers must learn to recognize other peoples' monkeys and restrain themselves from caring and feeding of other peoples' monkeys. Effective management is NOT the caring for and feeding of others peoples' monkeys!

Effective management is helping others to care and feed their own monkeys.
