Employers can now use a new service on the Internet to find the best people to fill their jobs. Profiles International, Inc., a company dedicated to putting the right people in the right jobs, has established an Internet database where job seekers and employers can match their needs, thanks to a unique system, called JobFit.com, designed to help employers find the right people for their jobs and help job seekers land jobs in which they will succeed.
"We know there are already many job boards on the Internet, so we've taken the concept to a higher level," says Bob Gately of Gately Consulting and Profiles International. "Our technology gives local companies the power to identify job seekers who meet their specific qualifications, but it also identifies the 'best of the best' through a sophisticated, but easy to use, process that measures the intangible factors and targets extraordinary job candidates. Best of all, JobFit.com available at no cost for employers and job seekers."
According to Gately, by using JobFit.com, employers can post their job openings and complete a job survey that results in expanded information about each job. This information is used to match the position to job seekers whose natural tendencies lend themselves to job success. "For example," says Gately "if a job requires a person to work in a quiet environment with little interaction with others, someone who is very social and gregarious would not be a good fit, even though they might have the right job skills. It's mismatches like this that cause qualified people to quit or be fired after a short time on the job."
"Our intent," says Gately "is to match jobs and people for the mutual benefit of employer and employee. Companies don't hire bad people, but they do make bad matches, resulting in employee turnover. While JobFit.com helps employers reduce turnover and increase productivity, it also helps employees by helping them find jobs they will enjoy because they can do them well. Our system helps employees avoid stress, tension, and conflict in their work," Gately says.
JobFit.com uses a unique search engine that works for both employers and job seekers. It makes their searches more efficient because they can specify their requirements and find matches. Thus, an employer does not have to review the resumes of people who are not fully qualified and job seekers are quickly directed to employers who are looking for people with their combination of job skills and qualifications. This "Fast Find" search feature is made possible by a digital resume that makes searching by specific fields possible.
"Every employer has been disappointed by employees whose performance fell short of expectations," says Gately. 'We have created a system that uses data collected from many years of research along with advanced Internet technology to remove much of the guesswork out of hiring. We use a lot of science to match people and jobs, which results in happy employers and happy employees." Gately says that JobFit.com will save companies time and money and create a more effective and efficient working environment. Because JobFit.com is always available, 24/7, companies will fill their jobs faster with less expense, down time, and loss of productivity. "Businesses will avoid wasting time reviewing resumes of under-qualified candidates and eliminate wasting money on travel for candidates with only marginal potential," he said. 'We have eliminated the inefficiencies of typical on-line job boards."
Gately said that Profiles International is also partnering with area colleges, universities, high school and trade schools to provide students and graduates with an efficient and convenient link to the work place. "We expect that students and other job candidates will find that JobFit.com is an effective tool for marketing themselves and their skills," said Gately.
