Organizational
Management Analysis (OMA)
We have added a new
dimension to the CheckPoint 360 process. We have had
many requests for a report format to provide information
that summarizes the results from CheckPoints that have
been given to a group of managers. We have created
that report; The Organizational Management
Analysis (OMA). Executives may describe this as
an upper-level, "5,000-foot view" of their
company by incorporating all of their Checkpoint
information into a single, simplified report.
The report format has
been designed to address three (3) distinct operational
areas of a company:
- The Chief
Executive Officer/President
see Section 1. Executive
Summary
- Organizational
Development Group
see Section 2.
Organizational Development Priorities
- Training
Group of the company
see Section 3.
Organizational Training Needs Analysis
The report has three
sections as follows:
1.
Executive Summary
Critical Skill Set
Summary
Identifies what the Manager and their Boss(es)
considered the most Critical Skill Sets for each
Managers job performance.
Critical Skill Set Alignment
Indicates where Boss(es) and Managers were in
alignment with their Critical Skill Set selections.
Organizational Development Summary All
Raters
This graph shows what percentage of the raters
(excluding Self) identified their Manager as being
below, within, or above the Favorable Zone.
Organizational Development Summary Direct
Reports
This graph shows what percentage of the Direct
Reports identified their Manager as being below, within,
or above the Favorable Zone.
Skill Set Analysis
This section summarizes the information
provided in each of the Managers CheckPoint reports. This
displays the percentage of the 18 Skill Sets rated
below, within, or above the Favorable Zone.
2.
Organizational Development Priorities
This section
identifies those Managers whose skills were rated as
needing improvement.
3.
Organizational Training Needs Analysis
This section targets
areas for training appropriate for each of the Managers.
From the CEO's
perspective, the OMA will provide information giving
insight to:
- The company's culture
- Managerial
perceptions of critical areas for success in the company
- Managerial alignment
- Development needs
within the organization
For the Organizational
Development and Training groups, the benefits will be
obvious.
There will be many
uses for the valuable information both objectively and
subjectively. We are introducing the OMA
capability now to provide each of you an opportunity to
bring this information to your clients. Contact
your Marketing Vice President for additional information
and discussions on how to provide your current and
future CheckPoint clients with the Organizational
Management Analysis.
