This image was taken using the digital Kodak camera in the spring of 2000 at the edge of Ullswater.  
You can't see it but a ferry has just gone by and in about five minutes its wake will arrive at the edge where we are standing - the dog goes bananas when it comes, biting the waves and barking like mad!  F.B.

This is the end of the lake nearest to our part of the Lake District.  But to get to our part we have to drive over Kirkstone pass which is sometimes inaccessable during winter - especially if it snows. F.B.
