PostersFox Media has a wealth of knowledge about poster media and has handled many UK and international outdoor campaigns, at both the local and national level.
We draw on years of experience in planning and buying posters both as a main medium and as a support for other media.
We can guide you through the maze of poster sizes, costs, availability and the latest media research - to ensure that you are always kept 'up to speed' with what this powerful outdoor media vehicle could contribute to your next advertising campaign.
|
Posters are often utilised in combination with broadcast media, to prolong awareness created by a television launch, for instance; or compensate for the light viewing characteristics of upmarket audiences; or to provide a last minute visual reminder of a TV commercial close to the 'point of sale'.
Digitalisation of poster displays is an important development currently. Copy can be rotated or updated much more efficiently and displays benefit from better lighting and reproduction. Digitalisation seems to be occuring everywhere - on roadsite sites, on the underground, at airports, within retail outlets, etc.

Clearly the "ambient" sector is vastly increasing the range of creative opportunities available to advertisers. But there's still a very important role for the more traditional outdoor formats and sizes in building awareness through high coverage and frequency.
This characteristic of the poster medium - delivering very high levels of coverage and frequency - remains one of its most important strengths in creating brand visibility and awareness.
Fox Media's impartial advice and skilled buying will put your campaign on the map.

Clear Channel offers interactive posters while JCDecaux launches Waitrose network and digital PrimeTime facility ----------------------------------
Clear Channel Outdoor UK has launched a suite of mobile services which will enable advertisers to interact directly with consumers through the outdoor medium.
The new services, branded Clear Channel Interact, allow consumers to opt-in to find out more information about an advertiser, download mobile vouchers for special offers, access mobile websites or find the nearest store, gym, cinema or other desired location.
The number of mobile phone owners in the UK has reached 88% of all adults, according to the Mobile Data Association, while 84% of the population sees a format available through Clear Channel Outdoor every week, according to TGI.
Advertisers will now be able to book outdoor campaigns that include a call to action for consumers to text a Clear Channel operated shortcode number.
Meanwhile, rival outdoor advertising company JCDecaux has launched a new poster network at Waitrose, with 6-sheet sites positioned at the entrance to fifty branches.
Over 40% of Waitrose main shoppers are AB (double the national average) while 84% are ABC1. This is the first time 6-sheet posters have been available at Waitrose and follows the award of the outdoor advertising contract to JCDecaux in a competitive tender in December 2007.
The company has created a new JCDecaux Retail division to manage and develop its Waitrose and Tesco portfolios.
In a separate development, JCDecaux recently launched its digital PrimeTime network in London, in a move labelled by the company as "the largest deployment of roadside digital media in Europe".
The twenty digital screens are able to combine the immediacy and flexibility of press with an impact that the company claims is unparalleled in roadside digital outdoor. JCDecaux has positioned the network as a powerful alternative to the printed press.
The company claims that network will deliver an audience of 4.8 million Londoners in two weeks - the same as sixteen days circulation in the Evening Standard. "With 50 London ratings over a two week campaign that's more than a insertion in the Metro London, London Lite, thelondonpaper and the Evening Standard put together", they point out.
The network offers the ability to buy space by daypart, including morning and evening drivetime slots.
