This is a refined and improved version of my current personal sailing canoe. It is designed to be put together by one person in about a week. (That's elapsed time. The prototype took about four afternoons' work excluding sails, daggerboard and rudder which I already had). It is suitable for single or double paddle, with appropriate changes in seating.

The sailing rig meets the rules of the UK Open Canoe Sailing Group.
The hull is built from two sheets of 4mm marine plywood, held together with resin and glass tape or epoxy fillets. The buoyancy tanks use another half-sheet (or you could fit buoyancy bags instead), and the rudder and daggerboard need another quarter sheet, but of 12mm thickness. All other timber is standard woodyard-quality pine.
The sails are intended to be suitable for making at home. The spars can be made from timber (preferably spruce) or assembled from standard aluminium tube. All fittings are standard dinghy items, and can be obtained from any good chandler.
