STEVENSON, B.W.:
1974 - CALABASAS (RCA Records)
B.W. Stevenson and Willie Nelson hosted the first year of Austin City Limits. He made a few albums and on this country/folk album Linda Ronstadt is helping out with artists like Andrew Gold, Kenny Edwards and Kim Carnes. With an earlier album he reached the charts with the singles "My Maria" and "Shambala". Stevenson died some years ago with hardly a penny to his name, but the remake of "My Maria" by Brooks & Dunn helped to provide his children with enough money for college. (Thanks: Thom Washington and Jeff Hickerson for this information)
