Dean's Note: The Guide Book idea started when I joined the St. Clair Shores Horseshoe Club and WSHPA in 1998. I volunteered to be secretary for the SCSHC that had 10 members in 1997. I was handed an old set of "club rules" when I joined. I thought new pitchers deserved better when they joined the club. I not only wanted people to join, I wanted them to become students of the game. The "Guide Book" really developed when the Mount Clemens Indoor Horseshoe Pitchers Club was formed. We showed the establishment that horseshoe pitching could grow with some promotion. The SCSHC Guide Book includes The Complete Horseshoe Pitching Primer.

The SCSHC believes that we are the only club in the USA to give each member a Guide Book on Horseshoe Pitching when they join the Club. We've accomplished a lot since 1998.
