Outside Noise Sources
Here is a common noise source mower1.wav recorded on DAT and saved as a 16 bit .wav file sampled at 11025 Hz. The SPL was 95 dBC at two meters from the source. Here is another common noise problem traffic.wav nominally 70 dBC at 100 meters from the source (same recording conditions).
Inside Noise Sources
Compressors make very low frequency noise that can be heard throughout the house. However, motors and gears can also make very low frequency noise such as in this dryer.wav
