It's hard to know where to begin with this topic as there is so much to choose from.
You've got your fast food outlets like Kentucky in Pitt St. and
Macdonalds in Pitt St., George St. and corner of George and Bridge St.
There's even a chippy at Circular Quay. However, there are many good,
reasonably priced restaurants.
The City Extra is a fabulous restaurant offering a wide selection of
food. You can dine inside or out and there are non-smoking areas
in both.
During the evening the red heater lamps are switched on, which keep
you warm and make you feel very cosy. The view is unrivalled. You
can look out over the harbour and see the bridge casting its reflections
onto the water.
The service is very friendly and prompt.

all chargrilled and served with grilled tomato, French fries and salad.
There is a cafe just below the observation deck of Sydney Tower which
sells drinks and small snacks. It's open from 10am-5pm
There are also two revolving restaurants. One self-select and one
a la carte. TEL 233 3722
Just North of Oxford Street are numerous inexpensive Italian nosheries, including: No Names (2 Chapel St.), Bill &Tony's (74 Stanely St.) and Reggio's (135 Crown St.). There's also Betty's Soup Kitchen (269 Crown St.). On Oxford St. there's good Spanish food at Raquel's (no.98), a hotch-potch at Kinselas (Taylor Square), and every other cuisine you've ever heard of, somewhere along this salacious strip. Likewise in The Cross, the many cafes cater to backpackers' tastes.
Really, it's a case of looking around and seeing what you fancy. There are
too many to list and it's all down to personal taste, although I would
personally recommend City Extra and the Tower which combine great views
with great food. The Tower restaurant isn't cheap, but then again how often
will you get the chance to dine whilst looking out over such a beautiful city?
