Tomorrow at the Strand Hotel, Sefton Rugby Football Club celebrate their diamond jubilee.

Among the guests will be representatives from many clubs in the North West who have long-standing fixture arrangements with Sefton.

Freddie Applebee, one of the few surviving founder members will not, unhappily, be able to attend the dinner, but W.B.Croxford, who has done so much for rugby on Merseyside (and particularly for schoolboy rugby) is to be present and so is the President of the Lancashire Rugby Union
