Our Story

I grew up around Afghan Hounds and when my mothers interest in other breeds meant we no longer had these beautiful animals to show I lost interest in attending dog shows. Then some 7 years ago my mother came back after judging a breed club show raving about a puppy that she had given best puppy to, after thinking about it I decided to go to a show and have a look at the
Afghans, fatal mistake.
A couple of months and lots of looking later Tasha arrived. Four months old and granddaughter of a very famous (although we did not know at the time) dog, the late great 'Taco'. Am.Ch Pahlavi's Puttin' on the Ritz.
Tasha (Ch. Tejas Sahuara) gave us a whirlwind ride, a multiple Best Puppy winner she ended '92 as joint top puppy in breed. At 19 months she got her first CC under Steven Wheeler, her second 6 months later from Andrew Brace, then we waited two long years for Bo Bengston to give her the third and crowning ticket in '95. With that she became the first UK Champion granddaughter for 'Taco'.
We arranged to mate her by AI to a beautiful Swiss dog SBIS Multi Champion Dali Daruma el Aramis, a Taco son, sadly we never had the chance. On August the 25th '97 I held my beautiful Tasha in my arms as she slipped away from me. I miss her more each day but I am eternally grateful to have had her with me for the those six short years.

Dali had fathered a litter born April 13th that year, all the litter had gone to their new homes, except one dog puppy. This dog was to have returned to Hungary with the owner of the dam of the litter, but due to circumstances he was unable to take him. Heidi and Iren said that it must have been meant for this little boy to be left and that we had to have him, so after some soul searching he came to the UK, the son Tasha never had the chance to have.
After six months quarantine Zazz came out on March 24th '98 and is now home with us, and so the dream goes on.

To the future!
