Details of upgrading to v10

V10 of the CSM R/C Simulator is now available. It has enhanced graphics, 'follow-mode', CSM heading-hold gyro, thermals, 4-servo wings, better file handling, and more.

We recommend at least a Pentium 120 to get any benefit from upgrading to v10, although it will run the simplest fields and lowest resolution graphics on a 486 DX2/66. Also required is an SVGA fully VESA bios compatible graphics card.

V10 of the simulator will not, unfortunately, be directly compatible with the interface issued with earlier versions of the simulator. We have had to do this because we were starting to run up against the limits of the existing interface design.

The new interface gives a 100% increase in control resolution, support for up to 12 channels, and gives faster, more reliable, data transfer between Transmitter and PC.This will also allow much more flexibility for future versions of the sim and we have done a lot of work to increase the number of printers that it will be compatible with (although we can't guarantee that it will work with every printer/PC combination out there!) We have also taken the opportunity to change the design and style of the interface so that there will be no possibility of mistaking our product for any one else's.

There will of course be an exchange policy for existing users of the sim, the mechanics of how this will happen may be different from country to country, but in the UK contact our distributors RC Models Distribution Ltd at: info@rcmodels.org and once the returned interface has been tested by us we will exchange it for a new V10 unit complete with manual and software for 29.95 pounds sterling plus postage.
