Costa Rica Online was created with the purpose of offering different and new alternatives to those of you who want to visit Costa Rica. We are a professional travel research service and our experience of more than 10 years in Costa Rica Tourism in the operational areas of Hotels and Tour Operators companies, have given us the expertise and knowledge to come up with the BEST LOGISTICS for your trip, in terms of hotels and activities to book during your vacation.

Costa Rica Online is an independent service, which means that we are not associated with any Hotel or Tour Operator in either the U.S. or Costa Rica. We will develop PERSONALIZED (not "canned") detailed itineraries, that will fit your needs and most important your budget. We receive information from most of the service providers in the Costa Rican tourism industry including the National Tourist Board. This has allowed us to buid extensive databases, which include Hotels, Resorts, and descriptions of the places you will visit, the highlights and "must see" sites of a particular itinerary.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

We will be asking you to fill up a questionnaire form, so that we can gather some information . Just tell us what areas or places you would like to visit, your travel interests and your budget (price range), and we will design, customized just for you, the most appropriate itinerary that will meet your interests and needs, and most important, the best logistics, so your trip will have a pleasant pace.

WHAT WILL WE PROVIDE?

From the questionnaire you fill out, we will give you some guidelines. These consist of FOUR (4) parts:

• A sketchy itinerary, a very short descriptive form with the areas to be visited, FREE of charge.
• A detailed itinerary which, as the word implies, details every single aspect of the trip. For instance, descriptions of Hotels, areas to be visited, suggested activities telephone and fax numbers, reservations, cancellation and payment policies, and much more. In many cases, the description for each Hotel or Resort included in your itinerary, averages between 2 and 3 pages in length.
• Included with the detailed itinerary, we will provide a map of Costa Rica, and brochures (if available) or printed information about the Hotels you will be staying at.
• The itinerary we will develop for you will have the price you expect to pay for the entire trip. This price is an average amount based on the Hotels or activities we are recommending.

The procedure is quite simple:

• With the information you provided us on the questionnaire form, we will develop a sketchy itinerary, (FREE OF CHARGE), and e-mail, or fax it to you for your approval.
• Once you receive the sketchy itinerary, you are free to make any changes to this "scketchy itinerary" then, e-mail or fax us the changes in order for us to update your itinerary.
• As soon as you have approved the "sketchy" itinerary we have suggested, and upon receiving full payment, we will then proceed to develop your DETAILED itinerary, mentioned above. If you decide not to buy the detailed itinerary, you are free to keep the scketchy itinerary we developed for you.
• Unless otherwise requested and due to the amount of printed material involved in this final step, we will be mailing (instead of e-mailing it) the Detailed Itinerary to you. We will also give you suggested activities and a price range for the whole itinerary so you can plan in advance what would you like your vacation to be in this beautiful country.

Our itineraries are so flexible that you can switch the order in which you will visit the places we are recommending. We develop the logistics in such a way that an itinerary can be re-arranged in any way. Of course, it all depends on the availability of the Hotels or Resorts and on the particular dates you will be staying.

We want you to have control over your arrangements, and not be tighten up to a particular schedule. We want to make sure that when you visit Costa Rica, you get the best value for your money and return with pleasant memories of your trip!

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

First, the cost for the scketchy itinerary is FREE, this includes the areas to be visited and the activities we recommend. Second, the Detailed Itinerary includes a very detailed description of the entire trip. This can take several pages, for instance an itinerary of 8 days can be as short as 10 pages and as long as 24 pages, depending on the type of activities and information about the hotels we will be recommending to you. Price for the detailed itineraries start at $25.00 for an 8 days - 7 nights itinerary, and can go up to $55.00 for itineraries lasting more than 15 days. Plus shipping and handling.
