El Gavilán Lodge is located 90 kms. away from San José, at the North Atlantic zone of the country, on the edge of Sarapiquí River, the ideal region for ecological tourism and adventure.

At the hotel visitors can take guided horseback riding or hiking trips through a hundred hectare private reserve of secondary forest, with interesting traces of primary forest. Since El Gavilán Lodge is located at the edge of the river, one of the main attractions is the river trip. Specially during summer time, visitors can swim on the Sarapiquí River.

El Gavilán Lodge has 14 double rooms with private bath, fan and hot water; and can accommodate up to 45 people in full occupancy. At the open dining room you can enjoy the exquisite and abundant typical and international food, with fresh appetizing fruits and salads, and the coconut desserts.
