Pensión Flor Mar

Pension Flor Mar is a rustic lodge 2 kms away from the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, 2 kms from the Butterfly Gardens, 300 mts from the Monteverde Cheese Factory, 1 km from the offices of the Monteverde Conservation League, 200 mts from the offices of the Monteverde Institute, 100 mts from the Monteverde Friends meeting and school and 700 mts from the artisans cooperative.

Pensión Flor Mar is owned by Marvin Rockwell, who was one of the group of seven families of Quakers who moved from Alabama to Costa Rica in 1950, and founded the community of Monteverde in 1951. The lodge has 13 rooms with bunk beds for 3 or 4 people, most of the rooms share facilities. Few of the rooms have private bathroom. Hot water available.
