Located just a short boat ride from Corcovado National Park and Caño Island, the sprawling 10acre wilderness camp of Drake's Bay teems with wildlife, including monkeys, the brilliant Scarlet Macaw, and wild parrots. Much of the area remains as pristine as it was when Sir Francis Drake landed here over 400 years ago during his circumnavigation of the globe, and the experienced guides are always ready to share their knowledge and to assure every visitor a safe and rewarding adventure.
The camp offers comfortable cabins on the beach, with private baths, ceiling fans and hot water showers. There's a sea side gazebo for quiet relaxing and regular slide shows and nature talks. Roomy tents are also provided with electricity and comfortable beds for campers, and bugs and insects are never a problem at Drake's Bay, even during the evening.
Guests enjoy three bountiful meals a day, prepared from local produce, freshcaught fish and jumbo shrimp, along with the region's many tropical fruits and home made breads and desserts. Meals are also prepared for excursions away from camp.
