Instructions for
              Loading Initial or Updates to Breed Data
                     Into PEDWIN for Windows
        
1) Start PEDWIN from the 'Pedigree' group by clicking on the Terrier Icon.
2) Click the <Open> button
3) In the File Open dialog, use 'WELSH' as the file name and click <OK>.
4) Click on <Yes> at the prompt to create a new data file if required.
   4a) On the Setup Breed Information screen, change the breed name to Welsh 
       Terrier and click <OK>.
5) From the menu at the top of the screen above the buttons, select 
   Edit | Sequential Data | Read
6) In the File Open dialog, change the 'List Files of Type' to 
   'Archive Files' and change the setting for 'Drive' to the directory 
   which contains the downloaded archive file.  Select the downloaded 
   archive file and click <OK>.
7) In the Extract From (file name) screen, select the data set if it 
   is not already selected and click <OK>.  You will be prompted for a 
   password if one is required.  The file extraction process will run.
8) In the Sequential Title List screen, click on the wording 'Update 
   Undefined' in both the Update Breed Titles from Sequentia Data and the 
   Update Breed Information Titles from Sequential Data sections if you 
   are adding to your existing database.  Otherwise, click on the wording 
   'Update All' in both places.  Click on <OK> to start adding the data 
   to the database which you started or opened in step 3 above.
9) If a listing of errors appears, you will have to manually add those 
   records to your database, as there were some conflicts between the new 
   data and your existing data.  These records have not been changed in 
   your data.  It might be helpful to print out this list for reference 
   while making any necessary changes.
